UniMek AS follows the ISO 9001:2015 standard, and has developed its own WEB-based quality assurance manual in collaboration with Compendia AS.
We are also working towards an ISO 9001 approval. We strive to be environmentally conscious, and have strict procedures for dealing with oil and waste. We are working towards the ISO 14001:2004 environmental standard.
We have installed a central facility for liquid coolant from Austeraa Process in our workshop. A liquid coolant is free of oil and metal residues and other contaminants. Liquid coolant is positive for employee's health, improving air quality, and is financially beneficial. The facility also provides us with clean, and oil-free, liquid coolant for the machines in the correct concentration.
We have extraction with HEPA (High Efficiency Particle Air) filters on all machines. These filters remove vapor from the coolant in the engine room, so that the operator does not inhale liquid coolant vapor when the machine door is opened.
